August 3, 2026

This summer has been an exciting one at BDL, from the launch of new nonstop service and the celebration of milestone anniversaries with several airline partners. Catch up on everything that’s happened recently.

United Expands Connectivity with New Houston Service

In May, United Airlines launched new daily, year-round nonstop service between BDL and Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). The new route provides travelers with convenient access to a top destination, while opening the door to hundreds of additional domestic and international one-stop connections through United’s extensive Houston network.

Houston becomes United’s fourth nonstop destination from BDL, joining Chicago, Denver and Washington DC.

Breeze Adds Louisville While Celebrating Five Years at BDL

Breeze Airways also reached an exciting milestone this spring with the launch of new seasonal nonstop service to Louisville, Kentucky. The inaugural flight coincided with the airline’s fifth anniversary of operations here at BDL.

Since arriving at BDL in 2021, Breeze has quickly expanded its presence, providing travelers with convenient nonstop service to a growing list of popular destinations.

Celebrating Five Years with Sun Country Airlines

This year also marks five years of partnership with Sun Country Airlines at BDL. Since launching service at BDL, Sun Country has provided travelers with convenient access to Minneapolis, MN (MSP), giving BDL passengers more options for seasonal travel.

Ten Years of Aer Lingus at Bradley

Another major milestone this year is the 10th anniversary of Aer Lingus service at BDL. Since launching nonstop flights between Hartford and Dublin in 2016, Aer Lingus has transformed international travel for the region, providing passengers with direct access to Ireland and onward connections to 20+ destinations throughout Europe.

Over the past decade, the partnership has strengthened business, tourism and cultural connections between New England and Ireland while giving travelers the convenience of beginning their international journeys close to home.
